To find health should be the object of the doctor. Anyone can find disease.
Andrew Taylor Still, DO – father of osteopathy
Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Darius Lembert and I am doctor of naturopathic medicine and master of physiotherapy (physical therapy). I have been trained in the Health Oriented Physician Education system, also called HOPE.
For close to 30 years, I have practiced and studied the field of classical osteopathy and manual medicine.
My clinical expertise is taking care after over 75% of human body (muscles, bones, joints, spine, nerves, stomach, liver, intestines).
Being a member of the faculty at National University of Health Sciences, I am in the process of designing a better model for the training of future doctors.
Also, I follow the principles of medical philosophy introduced to me at the college of naturopathic medicine. We used there the following order of medical care:
- Re-establish the basis for health and stimulate the inner natural healing forces (remove obstacles to cure, improve circulation and muscle balance).
- Identify the weak body parts (such as muscles and joints, heart and circulation, levels of energy, movement expression, mental-emotional and psycho-immunological balance).
- Strengthen the weak parts and check for any change or improvement.
- Treat specific illnesses with classical osteopathy, physical therapy, nutrition, supplementation, and herbal therapy based on objective findings.
- If needed, refer to doctors practicing the mainstream medicine for management of sings and symptoms with pharmaceuticals, suppressive drugs, or surgery.
As you can see, this philosophy makes much more sense than beginning with heavy suppressive drugs and waiting when it is too late and surgery is the must.
The Physician’s highest calling, his only calling, is to keep sick people healthy – to heal as it is termed
